To start off the New Year I've pulled out some photos of my husband's TR-4 from the 1960s. I picked these because my brother-in-law, James, who lives in Corpus Christi, is in the midst of restoring the car. I saw it Christmas and it is beautiful. Corvette Red which is very close to the color the car was in its later years with John. The car has been in the Lee family since about 1965, about the year this photo was taken. I've also put up a couple of other cars either being worked on or needing work. More to come in the future.

The TR right after it was purchased by my husband, shown at an autocross at the John Zink Ranch north of Tulsa. This has been in gallery before but not colored. This color is not exactly the color but is a close approximation. It came about when the original owner sprayed the car red over a Navy Blue paint job and the blue bled through. John drove the car on the street like this for some time...including the dead of winter.

Sid Adair grinds way on the TR after he'd crashed it at North Little Rock's park road course in 1965. There was no way to match the paint of course, so it was decided to take it down to bare metal since it had three colors on it and needed some fairly major work on the front end. Sid drove the car since my husband was still under 21 at the time. This was a low point in the car's history. However, it was the only time it was wrecked in the 35 years the Lee family has raced it.
