Surfin' Dude: Although Piper didn't do a lot of surfing because of time needed to do soccer, he did put everything he had into it and even made himself sick for a week after one trip. Pipe's dad brought the board home on an airliner (yeah, really) from Florida in the mid 80s. These surf scenes are at Mustang Island near Corpus Christi, Texas.

 

No Clue: Piper is shown at Coco Beach, Florida, on vacation with his mother when his father was there on an a writing assignment. His dad did not mention what was going to hit him in two seconds. Surprise! Just a few years later Piper would be back at Coco Beach with the South Texas Olympic Development team at an ODP Regional Camp.
