Background Information: This is the official Piper Lee Fan Club Web Site and has been developed to introduce you to our favorite soccer player. Piper Lee was a student athlete at the University of Illinois at Springfield where he was a Senior in the fall of 2000 and played his fourth year of soccer for UIS. UIS has been to the NAIA National Championships all four years Piper has been there, getting to the final in '98 , semis in '99 and quarter final in 2000.
Piper Lee was born in Oklahoma in 1976, is a Shawnee member of the Cherokee Nation, and has been playing soccer since he was about 5 and a half years old. Piper Lee started playing with the San Antonio Northeast Youth Soccer Organization (NEYSO) Satellites, then went to the Storm Troopers and later began playing in the NEYSO Gold Program, Austin Longhorn Soccer Club, the USSF Olympic Development Program and for Texas Military Institute where he helped the team win three TAPPS State High School Championships and set several records including most goals scored in a season and career. Piper Lee was named the San Antonio Express-News Soccer Player of the Year for 1995. This web site is also intended to illustrate how a player can develop from recreational soccer roots and enjoy the sport for years, obtaining the highest level of play not only in club play but also the Olympic Development Program, college and even professional /semi-pro with teams like the Austin Lone Stars and Tucson Amigos with the United Soccer Legues' Premier Development League. Piper was signed in early 2003 to a multi-year contract with the Milwaukee Wave of the Major Indoor Soccer League.
