Yes, I know it has been a long time since an update but I'm back with some more interesting photos. We've been digging through old negs and slides, coming up with a whole new batch of photos. I'm going back a little to the "roots" of this site by showing some pit/grid photos with drivers and workers with others thrown in. There are even a couple of guest photos.

- Grandmother? Yes, it's hard to believe but this young woman in
- the striped bell bottoms is more than likely a grandmother now.
- She seems to be with someone who is driving a G production car #76.
- Know who she is? Picture was taken in early to mid 70s at
- Dallas' Greater Southwest (airport) raceway.

- Surprise: I was really surprised when I started to write the cutline
- for this photo because I was thinking the young man in the white was
- the son of the driver. Then I thought: that's my very young, new
- brother-in-law in worker whites at the Wichita Grand Prix in the early
- 70s. But he swears it isn't him. So, surprise, I don't know who it is.
- Also, don't know who the driver is. Or the guy in the white hat, although
- he sure could be Mike Burton of Mustang, Oklahoma. Anyone know
- any of these characters?
Dick
- Dick Smothers of the Smothers Brothers TV show is shown here in 1
- 966 at War Bonnet Raceway near Tulsa, Oklahoma, in a photo taken by
- Ken Frakes who worked with my husband back in the 60s at the
- Tulsa Daily World newspaper and who also raced an MGB . For a while,
- four guys of the Tulsa World editorial staff raced cars: my husband, Ken,
- Allan Girdler, and Mike Gordon, a photographer. Look at the tread on
- those tires...and, brother, those are not rain tires.
