Hot Day at PC: Mini boils and so does crew member

Mini Boils and Crew Member Does Too when he removes the radiator cap...a big no-no unless you want 2nd and 3rd degree burns. They must have known there was a heating problem...note that the woman was waiting with a jug in her hand. It may look cool in the shade there but the July 4th weekend was almost always a scorcher. Leon MacKechnie, Jr., of Kansas, identifies the car as that of Paul (P. D.) Franklin of Enid, whose name, of course, rings a bell to me now. Franklin is retired from driving but often serves as Chief Operating Steward at MidDiv races.

Ponca Race Official

Know This Man? More than likely he was one of the PCGP SCCA race officials but after 30 years we don't remember who he is. By the "X" marked on the bottom proof, this photo must have been printed by my husband for my Rogues' Gallery. Got any idea? Leon MacKechnie, Kansas, can't i.d. him but has identified the man to the left as the long time Oklahoma Region Chief Tech Inspector, the late Henry (Hank) Kliner.

By the way, we still have a couple of other guys in early galleries who have never been identified.
