My Car's First Run-- in Roswell, New Mexico, on a cold and wet SCCA Regional weekend on 9/24/74 where we got 4th in CP on dry tires and after about a 1/2 mile long spin on the first lap in the rain. The inscription reads "To my sponsor and 1st Love"....yeah, sure, whatever. However, I still have him after 30 years and not the car.

Ah, the Weather was Perfect--for swimming or fishing or having heat stroke or something other than racing most of the time at Hutchinson, Kansas. Note that sky. Note that cool Lotus Europa Twincam. Just noticed his number is one less than mine and we were in same class.
This was probably taken in '72 or '73 before my car was running and when we were tech inspecting with Paul and Mary Ann Caffrey of Mt. Hope, Kansas, just down the road. No idea of whose car this is or who the fellow is securing it onto the trailer. Kim went with us to a couple of races, most memorable being the Lake Afton Grand Prix one year when we camped out in a contraption like the one in the background. What a hoot when we went to the Port-a-Can located up by the start/finish line in the middle of the night!
