Just received an email from one of my best girl friends whom I met in Ponca City during the time period many of these photos were taken. She said that the gallery really brought back memories of us. Well, I am going to go a bit nastalgic this month with a couple of personal photos so Kim gets really teary and comes see me or at least calls once in a while. The next page is less personal, so don't fret, more cars and places are shown. And last month's photo contest is at the end of this month's gallery.
Old Neighborhood...Old Car should get my friend really misty-eyed. Note the color coordination going on here with even the yard lamp in my favorite color...1970 Chrysler Lime Lite Green. Had a mail box that matched too.
This is in Ponca City and is probably not too long after we finished my car, probably '74 since it is still in CP. See that house across the street with the white garage and grey door directly behind the Porsche? Well, we heard a couple of years ago that the 12 year old boy who lived there at the time has been racing a sports racer in SCCA for some time now. Guess we influenced someone without knowing it when we went up and down the street "testing" the car. Not sure if his mother was upset or not, but she told my mother-in-law to be sure and tell us.
Girls Just Want to Have Fun--here are Kim and I on a road trip some time when we were younger and thinner in Texas. That's my lime green race team shirt I'm wearing with the Porsche drawn on it right by my hand holding the bluebonnets.
