Now for Something Really Different: this is a print my husband created using photos taken by a good friend at the 1965 Le Mans while he was stationed in the Army in Germany. My husband took several photos and arranged them in this montage' and also altered the photos to be more "painterly" using a program that let him "hand color" parts of the black and white photos. The scanner does not really do the print complete justice.
In the photos are famous cars like the Shelby Daytona, Ford GT40, Ferrari and an Alfa. He took poetic license and colored the Alfa blue (knowing full well that it was probably red) but did know that the No. 59 Daytona was red and didn't want two red cars. The print measures approximately 8 x 10 and looks really great matted and framed. He's done similar pieces using photos of his TR4 over the years. Maybe I'll put one of those up next month.
