Mystery Car: well, your guess is as good as ours, if not better because, so far, we have not figured out what this is but we know photo was taken at Mid America Raceway in St. Louis in (we're hedging a bit here) circa 1965 when my husband was up there for a driver's school with his driver Sid Adair before my husband was old enough to race. This photo was taken from the infield pit area that was raised and shows the car coming off the drag strip straight and heading onto the actual road course section of the track.

 

 

NEOKLA Datsun at Hutchinson: according to our note on the back of this photo, used for an article written by my husband back in the 70s for a small Oklahoma race newspaper, this car belonged to Larry Johnson out of the "Tulsa" region. The article was made up of photos of racers sporting various car tags. There is one in last month's gallery and we'll have a few more for you as months go on.
