A Slightly Different Approach

Not a former vintage racer as far as I know, this is a Lancia Stratos like the one raced during the 70s and 80s in the IMSA series by fellow Okie Toly Arutunoff . This car was photographed at the last CVAR event of 2003 at TWS. A beautiful car and quite rare. This car was taking part in a high dollar "rally" in the Texas Hill Country along with some other very exotic machines.
The Stratos earned its reputation through being unbeatable for years in the international rally scene but some were, like Toly's, raced in road races. We noticed just last month that Toly was racing an SCCA H Production Opal GT at Texas Motor Speedway in Ft. Worth late last season.. Only 492 were built.
